I am 32 years old, have always had very long nails without trying. This winter my nails have begun to break, split and basically remain extremely short. Every time one starts to grow just out from the tips of my fingers, it splits and peels and breaks. The only differences in my life is that I have started taking Calcium/Magnesium and Potassium Gluconate supplements. Can anyone tell me what in the world is going on. My nails are disgusting. Oh yeah, I also buffed them for the first time right before I started having this problem. The buffing seemed to kick off the problem. What gives?
