- A hairstyle for glasses |
|
|
Dear George,
I wear glasses. I would say I have an "oval face shape",a
large wide nose, and small eyes.
I have medium length fine straight thick hair and use a curling
iron. I'm 35 years old and don't style hair well. I need something
quick and easy yet flattering to my face and glasses.

Thank you for sharing your hair concern with me.
Glass are a great way to cover small eyes but they should
not be the focal point. Avoid close flat hair styles. They
tend to make your nose appear wider which makes your glasses
stand out even more.
Start with a contoured shaping with the top layered, and the
sides shorter to brush away from the face. This type of shaping
can be combed forward or back and adds height and width to
balance any large facial features. Bangs are optional but
should be thin not blunt or heavy across the forehead. A rounded
shape (not straight across) or combed to the side works best
for glasses. Some selective thinning may be required to soften
the edge and control the thickness. A good example of this
look would be Lisa Rinna's hair style.
With a custom shaping (think tailor made) and the right styling
tools your hair will almost style itself!
