Viviscal tablets have been featured in many magazines, and some celebrity endorsers have also been hired to talk about the benefits of these hair growth pills. Do they really work? Let’s take a look at the ingredients and weigh the pros and cons of these tablets.

viviscal review

“My hair didn’t grow for about a year. After using Viviscal, my hair grew one and a half inches in about three and a half months, and it’s been a lot softer and healthier.”
– Kira W., Eighty-Four, PA

WHAT:  Viviscal Tablets
USE:  For damaged or thinning hair

What’s In Viviscal?

Viviscal tablets are formulated with a few essential vitamins and minerals. These include:

  • Vitamin C
  • Niacin
  • Biotin
  • Iron
  • Zinc

The other main ingredient in Viviscal is a fish protein called AminoMar C Marine Protein Complex.

Viviscal Pros:

It’s good that these tablets have five vitamins and minerals that do contribute to healthier hair growth. And protein is also vital for hair, so the AminoMar C Marine Protein Complex can also be helpful.

Viviscal Cons:

We can’t help but notice that even though there are a few good vitamins and minerals in Viviscal, there is only five of these and the dosage amounts are pretty low. You could probably get more nutrients if you took a multi-vitamin.

Viviscal tablets also contain protein, but since this protein comes from fish it takes the body longer to break down and absorb the amino acids that help hair grow. It’s also not recommended for anyone who is allergic to fish.

Verdict:

Viviscal tablets aren’t the worst hair vitamin on the market, but they’re not the best either. The lack of vitamins leaves a nutritional gap, and the fish protein means that anyone with a fish allergy cannot take these tablets.

For these reasons, we give Viviscal tablets a rating of 80 out of 100. If you want a hair vitamin that will get you faster results, or if you’re allergic to fish, we recommend trying Hair Formula 37 or Intense Grow instead.
